  • Hired the Agency's first Climate Resilience Director, tasked with ensuring that COM is focused and acting on climate resilience through various aspects of the Comptroller’s work, including state procurement and spending, investments, and community engagement.
  • Started serving on the Maryland Clean Energy Center’s Climate Catalytic Capital Fund Investment Oversight Committee.
  • Been appointed to the Maryland Commission on Climate Change and Coast Smart Council.
  • Collaborating with state agencies on state-wide environmental efforts.
  • Communicating with the public on the Comptroller’s climate and environmental policy priorities and goals.
  • Increasing transparency around and support of the Comptroller’s work on key state climate and environment boards.
  • Supporting the implementation of legislation to incorporate climate risk as investment risk in MSRPS.
  • Increasing climate and sustainability language in BPW agenda items.
  • Engaging with counties and municipalities on climate related tax incentives.
