Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA)
Goals:
Prioritize diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) within the agency and ensure that diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility is a central tenet in all policy, processes, decisions, and communications that originate from the Comptroller’s Office.
Actions

Cooperatively rebuilding the Fair Practices Office through strengthening policy and procedures to ensure a workplace free of discrimination; raising awareness and familiarity about civil rights and workplace issues impacted by diversity, equity, and accessibility.
Created a 508 Compliance Manager position and workgroup to improve accessibility of all resources created/ published by the Comptroller’s office, and to set policy and standards for tech accessibility and accommodations requiring tech solutions.
Reinstituted diversity and cultural awareness programming in which educational activities and events highlight special emphasis and observances.
